Explain what an OVERCOMING ISOMETRIC EXERCISE is!

 Overcoming isometrics are a type of strength training exercise that involves contracting your muscles against an immovable object, such as a wall or a weight that is too heavy to lift. The idea behind overcoming isometrics is to create maximum tension in your muscles without actually moving the weight.

To perform an overcoming isometric exercise, you need to find an immovable object or use a weight that is too heavy to lift. Then, you need to apply force to the object as if you were trying to move it, but at the same time, the object should not move. This creates a static contraction that puts your muscles under tremendous tension.

For example, you can do an overcoming isometric exercise for your chest by standing with your arms straight out in front of you and pushing against a wall as hard as you can. Another example is holding a barbell or dumbbell in a rack or on the floor and trying to lift it, even though it is too heavy to move.

Overcoming isometrics can be done for various muscle groups and can be done for different amounts of time and with different levels of force.
