What do the BICEPS and TRICEPS DO?

The biceps and triceps are two major muscle groups in the upper arm. The biceps muscle is located at the front of the upper arm and the triceps muscle is located at the back of the upper arm.

The main function of the biceps muscle is to flex the elbow joint, which means to bring the forearm towards the upper arm. It also assists in shoulder flexion and forearm supination (turning the palm up). The biceps muscle is commonly known as the "show" muscle because it is visible when someone flexes their arm.

On the other hand, the triceps muscle is responsible for extending the elbow joint, which means straightening the arm. It is also involved in shoulder extension and adduction. The triceps muscle is essential for various activities that require pushing, such as lifting weights or pushing objects away from the body.

Overall, the biceps and triceps muscles work together to allow for a wide range of arm movements and are essential for many everyday activities as well as athletic performance.
